The reason I love Sunday that so many others don't, is its football day. Its the day the Steelers play. I just love it. I get excited like a child gets excited for Christmas morning. I just can't wait. It doesn't have the pressure of Saturday football--what tailgate to go to and all the other games to watch. Its Steelers football. I'm sold out.
But every season a horrible thing happens. I guess its a good thing, but for us fans it seems devastating. The bye week. The team takes a week off and doesn't play for a whole two weeks. Its quite painful for those like me. So the question arises, what should I do with myself on Sunday?
I'm almost lost on Sundays when I'm not in front of the TV watching Pittsburgh. I'm the kind of fan that when taking a road trip on Sunday will stop for three hours and watch the game. Seems logical. So when they don't play, I just keep thinking I'm missing the game.
Yesterday in celebration of fall..and no game..D and I drove up north to see the changing of the leaves. It was a perfect fall day. Clear skies, sunny, and crisp. Fall really is the best time of year. I would post some pictures, but I've determined that some things are not meant to be captured by the stillness of a picture but rather are meant to be lived out in the liveliness of life. The pictures just don't do it justice. Just know that it was beautiful.
Blessings
