Miss from my life

Do you ever have a time where you listen to a song on repeat? Welcome to my life. Funny thing is, I rarely get sick of them...its more that God uses them in some way to teach me, remind me, push me.

Right now, that song for me is "The More I Seek You" Its a simple song, that just says the same thing over and over (is that not a joke about more P&W??)

The more i seek you,
the more i find you.

The more i find you,
the more I love you

I wanna sit at your feet
drink from the cup in your hand.
Lay back against you and breath,
hear your heart beat

This love is so deep,
it's more than I can stand.
I melt in your peace, it's overwhelming

The more i seek you,
the more i find you.

But the words have captured me and called into question so much for me. I know that it is true, that the more I seek God the more I will find God. But it begs this question--am I truly seeking Him or just doing it it to do it? Am I finding Him? Its been a great reality check for me that on occasion, I'm not in fact hungry for the God of this universe, I'm hungry for His knowledge. For I'm seeking material to teach.

If only I'd let myself get lost in this world so that I could find sweet Jesus. The only way for me to 'find' Him is to realize I've missed Him. To realized that I'm not consistently 'the more I seek you.' So as odd as this seems, I pray that I'd come to terms with that. Miss from my life! Let me see how dysfunctional I am without you. Reveal my deepest need. Burden my heart to seek You and only You. Hoping and praying that same to be true for you. Blessings.
