The story written on her life took a dramatic turn on Thursday. After a few weeks of feeling fatigued and experiencing double and blurred vision, she saw a doctor who order an MRI. My Aunt Angela and family received the news you never want to hear--a brain tumor that was inoperable due to the location of the tumor.
You can only imagine how much life changed in a matter of moments. What does this mean? What can they do? Is there a treatment plan? So many questions, some of which are beginning to be matched with answers. Thankfully, family is close by. My uncle is the kind of guy you want by your side, the prince you dream about as a kid. She's in good hands. Her two little girls have now grown up, are married and have beautiful families of their own, all living in Fayetteville too. Not to mention the support and encouragement from amazing friends locally and from a distance. Not everyone is so fortunate through something so challenging.
As they begin this all so sudden and surprising journey, I'm reminded that its not sudden nor surprising to God. God is sovereign and all knowing. He works all things together for the good of those who love them (Romans 8)
I invite you to pray with my family for my sweet Aunt Angela. Follow her story on the Caring Bridge site linked below and you can read my cousins blog, sharing about when they first found out.
Miracles happen or we wouldn't talk about them as a possibility. I'll be praying to that end. When the odds are stacked against you I know that its only God that can change things. Only God. 'Oh Father, I believe, help my unbelief.' We're on our knees.
