The time has come! D and have been talking since the beginning of the year about how we could begin to grow our family. We were excited about many of the possibilities, but wanted to be sure it was something that God was calling us too, instead of just assuming we moved forward without thinking much about it.
After much prayer and consideration, in Feburary, we were certain of God's calling on our life to adopt. Without going into too many details, I can tell you we spent much time investigating, calling, researching, and asking questions. Fully anticipating the process would be challenging, what we didn't think is it would be challenging to get started. We hit dead end after dead end, and no after no. It led us to asking our church "what else is out there?" The timing was perfect, as a new partnership was being formed, one that would involve a new consideration in our step of faith.
We have decided to become Foster Parents through Faithbridge, with the hopes and prayers of it leading to adoption. You can imagine, there is much that can be shared with this journey, we wanted to begin to have a place to update people of our journey. We couldn't be more excited about whats to come! We are eager yet nervous. Excited yet scared of the unknown. But ultimately, we feel called to this next step for our family.
We have completed two classes, which launch us into the ability to really dive head first into the paper work. We will be updating things along the way through this blog, but wanted to at least get the ball rolling! Thanks for being in our life and thank you in advance for your prayers!
