New year, new adventure!

Last night, we had our second home study. In order to do that, we had to prepare our home with lots of baby proofing and safety items. I'm convinced our home is among the safest for a child in GA. That also means that its not the safest for adults--I can hardly get out of my own home thanks to the door handles! But, all in the name of child safety right!

Anyway, everything went well last night. Our home was checked off and we went through a pretty extensive interview. Its helpful to think through a lot of things we were asked, yet also daunting because many things we talked about might not be scenarios we face.

Long story short, we are one step closer to bringing a baby home. We have one home study standing between us and a write up, allowing the state of GA to approve us to be licensed to foster! That means we need to get our act in gear to get more than just a crib in our house because come the new year we will be taking on a new adventure. Looks like we just might have a baby in our home come Jan or Feb!

What a gift!
