Whats to come

Its coming up on me quickly. I've been so consumed with the details of the trip, that I've hardly processed through what's in store.

In ten days, I leave for East Asia. Even as I write that, I'm thinking, 'wow thats a big deal' but there is no way to really communicate the magitude of what I feel!

We are taking a Vision Trip there, meaning students from Alabama will be going for their Spring Break for a few reasons. One, to get a glimpse at the ministry and partnership campus that we have in East Asia. Also, to see what life is like there. Next, to encourage the current team and help in any way possible. Finally, to be vision casters for when we return to America.

I'm leaving a few days early for the Vision Trip in order to have a few days to hang out with D. I'm sooo grateful that it worked out for me to go early--so it doesn't feel as rushed while I'm there. From there, D and I will fly to Newark and then drive to the Pittsburgh area, for his step sisters wedding. Then we head to Dayton to see my mom, brother and sister in law, before flying back to Alabama. He will be in Tuscaloosa for a week before heading back to China. In that time, he will be meeting my pops and sister, along with a few other friends.

Here's where I'm at. The 20 days we are together is going to be amazing. You just reach a point where emails seem just ok, and skype doesn't have the same flare and you just want to be around each other. I'm excited and nervous and eager and overwhelmed. I bet just about every emotion I could be feeling, I do. Add in that there is still a lot to get done! It just takes a lot of planning to make a trip like this happen. Not as much on my end, but putting me in charge of other people makes it challenging.

So, the coming days feel a little stressful. There is a lot that has to be done between now and then. Plus, I just want to have good time with the Lord and relax! I'm sure in the posts to come, you will be hearing about my trip and time with D, finally face to face. God willing, maybe we will even take a picture or two together!!
