Jennifer and I are about to road trip it.
In a few hours I'll be leaving Tuscaloosa Alabama and driving to Atlanta Georgia to meet up with my sister. I'll go to the Thrashers game tonight and stay in Atlanta. First thing tomorrow morning, we are getting up and driving to Dayton Ohio, our home town, to see our momma and have a short visit and a free stay. I'm hopeful for snow and good food. Sunday morning, I'm sure as early as possible, Jen and I will arise and hit the road for the destination of destinations. Pittsburgh PA. The home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the land of five Super Bowl Championships, the Steel City, the working class. We will join thousands of other die hard fans, the best in the land, as they travel to see the guys play for a ticket to tampa and the right to play in the super bowl. Its the AFC Championship game, and we'll be there. Jen and I don't exactly have tickets yet. But as I was quoted in the paper for Super Bowl XL, I don't let myself contemplate not getting a ticket. Thats just not an option. I'll find a way in to the game. I'll freeze with the rest of them...I'll wear as many layers as I can, I see the game live.
I can't wait. Its gonna be great. Sunday night we will drive back to Dayton and then reverse the whole order. Monday we are both off work so we have time to get back before returning to real life on Tuesday. It sounds like a dream come true right! Right!
Maybe I'll write from the road..or maybe I'll be having too much fun to write. Think of me...think of the Steelers. 6:30 ET Sunday. Here we go Steelers, here we go!

AAAAAH--you were there!! I should've read sooner, I'm a bad friend. And I DEFINITELY would've been texting you tonight. Yay for snow and yay for the black and gold.
I was just thinking... Christie on Paper? Shouldn't it be Christie on LCD Computer Screen or Christie on Big Honkin' Old Computer Screen. Or do you actually print out your blog on paper.
These are the kinds of things that keep me up at night. Weird... eh?
Congrats on the big win!
Kate--forgiven for being behind on the blogs. I understand...but did you expect me to miss a moment in history like an AFC championship at Heinz field? Come on..
Tylerrr--you sure are funny. doesn't it LOOK like paper though. we are just virtual people these days. Cheering for the the Steelers in Tampa..? I would...and am.
