Buying stamps

This morning, I went to the post office to buy stamps. The post office is one of the places I feel like I go a lot. Each town I've lived in, I know of several post offices and certainly all the drop boxes. Between mailing 130 newsletters each month, bills, personal letters, thank you cards, and other random things, you could say that I go through a stamp or two.

So each month, I go to the post office to stock up on stamps for my newsletter. It might just be for my own pleasure, but I enjoy using 'fun stamps.' You know, the ones that are not the bells or flags. I'm sure they have an official name, but each month I just ask for the fun stamps and they always know what I mean.

I just think that a stamp really changes how a letter looks, and if I'm going to send a letter a month to the same people, I could at least change the outside appearance. Why not right. But heres the thing. Its without fail that when I'm in the post office, that the clerk seems frustrated that I've asked for them to walk two and half steps back to the filing cabinet to pull a few options for me and sell me the fun stamps. Is it not something they sell?

Sure, I get that the post office is often busy. Lunch time, not a good time to go. Thats why I go in the morning when the line is short and often non existent. So I'm confused as to why they are so deeply frustrated with me for asking for fun stamps. They are advertised all over inside yet its such a big deal to them that they sell them to me. I guess you could say it bothers me.

Even still, I ask for the stamps and get them. Today I got lighthouse and Hawaii stamps that will make an appearance on my newsletter this month. Be looking for it!

PS, I'll be posting some pics soon of some things that have happened around here lately
