For the next few years, I watched follow through also serve as one of my greatest weakness. I struggle to let go of things because I want to finish. Its just a part of my personality I claim.
So tonight, on this glorious Friday night, I unwinding from an extremely busy week. One where mornings sometimes started about the same time the sun came up and nights came to an end when it was actually morning. Just long days. Good days. So I'm at home. I'm doing the 'home' duties. Cleaning, organizing, paying bills. All the things you don't make time for in the rush of life.
I take great joy in cleaning out my bag. This is not just any bag. Its more than a computer bag. It holds everything. I use it on support appointments, campus, quiet times, you name it. Thus, it has a lot of everything. For it being a shoulder bag, you'd be amazed what I have in this bag, thus it needs cleaning quite frequently. So after pulling a bunch of stuff out, I found I was carrying around three legal pads (the small ones, but still) I write EVERYTHING done. Either on a calendar, in my phone, on a piece of paper, somewhere. I was tearing out pieces of paper from this pad...like the ones that I scratched on and had no significance...and realized that I was at the end of the pad. Ewwwww. Its such a good feeling. Not many people reach the cardboard on the back before they lose the legal pad. It was just a good feeling. One thats totally lame, but to me seems to just be worthwhile.
I love finishing legal pads. I guess its a part of having follow through.
Have a good weekend. I have company this weekend for the game. RTR...and of course, go Dawgs!

I love it. I am exactly the same. I hate not having closure....even if it is on a legal pad...anything half-done drives me crazy.
