Last night I drove to Bham to pick up my mom. She is in town for the weekend. I went in a few hours early to shop around at some stores we don't have in Tuscaloosa. Everytime I do that, I'm reminded that Tuscaloosa really isn't all that big and in order to find exactly what you want, you have to travel.
Anyway, I got my momma and we headed back to Tuscaloosa. It took her all of about two minutes of being in my house before the ideas of decorating popped into her head. I'd like to believe that the hours of HGTV are finally paying off. She told me what would look good and perhaps what wouldn't. We hope to move around my new couches to try some different arrangements before I go buying end tables and such.
That leaves us with today and our grand plan. We slept until we naturally woke up. We are going to go shopping here locally, looking for tables and pieces to decorate my place, stopping around noon to eat at City Cafe, a local favorite in Tuscaloosa, and then continuing on. It sounds like a grand day. I suspect tonight we will watch the tube, watch a movie, or play Rummy. What else could you want in a day.
I now call Tuscaloosa home. I have for nearly two years. Its not just the next stopping point for me. So its always fun when important people (especially my momma) get to see my home.

hey make sure you look at LANE outlet. Its on the corner of McFarland and Skyland. They usually have some great deals.
My mom and I are having a similar weekend in Gainesville! Except.... neither one of us knows where anything is! Enjoy your mommy time :)
