The week in review

Last Sunday I gave you an update as to what was going to be going on this week. Here is my week in review.

We made it to Atlanta and back safely, with 23 of our leaders. It was an AMAZING time, really! We went to the braves game and aquarium together and also had two meetings. For only being gone for two days, it felt like much longer. The best part of the time for me was that everyone seemed to be aligned. As we laid out the future plans and vision for UA, students got on board. Thats huge!!

Wednesday was an all out blitz of campus. The operation as I called it was a huge success and we entered 622 names into a new database we are running. We then contacted about half of them, all freshman, and invited them to an event that night, where 59 showed up. Pretty awesome. We were encouraged by how God moved and just the community throughout the day. It not only was a hit, but it was fun to do!

Thursday I spent a lot of the day catching up on odds and ends, while meeting with a few people as well. There were a few things that still had to be done to get international ministry off, etc. We will begin meeting weekly with a group of chinese students next friday! How fun.

Today was our first staff meeting--tons of details to cover. I enjoy details so was glad to get together an cover some of those bases. We realized that next week is just as, if not more busy than this past week.

So we are hopeful that in the midst of busyness we will still meet with the Lord. That for all we are doing, students would be impacted by the gospel. Its not at all about just doing things to do them. Its about changed lives.

This weekend I have NO plans. I'm looking forward to being at home and resting. Oh and did I mention that on Tuesday my roommate arrived, so I no longer live alone! Should be fun to get to know her and have some hang out time!
