A place that stole my heart

So if you have spent more than an hour with me, I suspect you know how much I love East Asia. Spending any amount of time there is a blast, but after a summer there you begin to realize how much is left behind. Being in America I sometimes feel incomplete and misunderstood as a result of my experience. The emotions tied in are frustrating and joyful, overwhelming and exciting. More often than not I'm at a place where I cannot fully communicate all that I feel. Pictures and poems and videos often say things better than I do...

I just recently posted a video on my website that you can check out. It gives a glimpse, and I mean glimpse into what our life looked like there. The places we ate, the rooms we stayed in, the ground we walk on, the life we lived for 7 weeks. I hope you enjoy.

While you are over there on that site, you are welcome to check out some of the things I wrote in my journal, they are posted on my posted on my blog...a few entries down...

Loved the video you posted! Facebook is wacky though, comments take like 4 days to update on that sucker, weird! But it was amazing, seriously.

And I completely agree with you... being here is so far from the same that it's awkward, making almost everything here harder in a sense. Really, that's the best way I can put it at the moment. Everything that was normal and easy here before is suddenly harder - doesn't make much sense and it's a bit backwards logically.
