Kentuck inspiration

Today I was inspired. I wish I could say I came home with some new things to add to the house and some of the bare walls that still fill this place, but I don't have the money to do that really. Lauren and I went to Kentuck Art Festival. Its a widely know, well respected festival in which artist from around the states travel to showcase their unique work. It was fascinating and inspiring.

There are dozens of things I wanted to walk out with. But when things are in the triple digits for something the size of the my fist, I have to have a little sanity to say no. So I did and just walked through from booth to booth looking for new ideas. I mean, I can be crafty if I want to be. I can make things. What I often lack is the motivation and time to actually do it.

After leaving this afternoon I decided I'm going to start doing more things for the house. It would be great to have this place be a little more inviting, homey, and warm. The festival was great, regardless of if I bought anything. Well I take it back, I did buy some kettle corn, and let me tell you, that was tasty!!!

Inviting, homey, and warm - maybe that will cause fewer cups to be left everywhere!

Festivals are enjoying, sorry I couldn't make it, but ya know! It was fun seeing you this Saturday, even for a short while!

Wow, I ended every sentence with an exclamation . . . !

good thinking, maybe I'll work quickly so the cups won't be left out and the mess won't be quite as bad. I like your thoughts. enough that I would read them...
