Update :)

I am well. I don't often write just to update on whats going on in my life and things I'm doing. I really do hate when people use the line "I'm busy," because it often communicates that others are not. Lets face it, we are all busy these days, have more things in our schedule than we would like to, and don't have enough hours in the day to get things done.

All that to say, this is a season in my life where I'm learning more about boundaries to combat busyness. Its not as much about being busy as it is about having priorities. This week though, feels like there is a lot going on! Crusade is going to Mentone Alabama for our fall retreat this weekend, so on top of the all the things I do in a normal week, there is a lot of prep to be done for that!

My days are somewhat normal now. They follow a general schedule I guess, but something is a little different. I have been getting up in the mornings to go for a walk. Its been a great way to start my day, get away from the chaos that is, and just be alone. Its a time for me to process, talk to the Lord, and pray for things that are on my heart. Its been one of the more refreshing things. In the days I continue to meet with students and have staff meetings and such, but by starting my day in that way, things seem different. Its as if my heart is aligned to Christ's heart. My desire is so much more focused on finding time with God throughout my day. Thats been pretty great!

Today during some down time, I decided to get something done. I hate wanting something to change but not doing anything about it. I've felt over resourced lately (which is a good problem really) and like I just have too many things to look through. When someone asks me for something, its like I don't know where to turn. I bought a few binders and sheet protectors, tabs and boxes, and organized the heck out of my resources. Its so rewarding because it looks nicer but also because it will be so much easier to find things!

Yep thats it--I have community bible study tomorrow, lunch with a professor, discipleship with Tina, then community group tomorrow night. Always lots going on!!!
