I shouldn't be allowed to do that

So something I've been doing more of in the last few weeks is going to the rec center. In getting a membership, I made a deal with myself that I would go. Its been enjoyable to get up early in the morning and go swim laps or grab a racquetball court alone and just hit the heck out of the ball. Its never long when I'm in a gym that I find my way to the basketball court.

I love the body language too. To get a lot of places in the rec, I have to walk by where all the guys play, so I look in, watch a few minutes. The guys look at me and the look on their face says "dang she's tall, wonder if she plays?" So this week I finally decided to play, thats a whole other story.

I sat on the bench and just watched people play for a while before I took to the court. When the game was over I jumped out there and shot around for a bit. Here is the catch, the majority of the people I was going to be playing with were from China. To say I knew their moves would the understatement of the year. If you have been to China, you know that most everyone has the same bball moves and of course, I'm taller than them all. So we split teams and started playing.

They were going easy on me for a while and after saying not for about a dozen times, they finally gave in. I don't know why guys do that. I think if a girl has enough courage to play with guys, she probably doesn't need them to go easy on her. So they went all out...and still it was pretty easy blocking shots and nailing my own. One Chinese guy said "shes good" hahaha, really I'm not. I told him I just knew his game. That led into a conversation about how I had been to China before and played with some students there. Its like becoming famous here, instantly.

"Say something in Chinese!!" My thought process was, 'are you kidding me, I can hardly speak in english when I play' So my conclusion is I shouldn't be allowed to do that. I shouldn't be allowed to tell people I went there, it just creates too much commotion. It was fun however to get out there and play.
